CoFramily is a community of homeschooling families who buy, sell, and connect locally. We respect your privacy and handle your information with care. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information you give us
When you create a listing, post on the message board, RSVP to an event, or fill out a form, you share details like your name, email, location, and the content of your post. You choose what to share — please don't post sensitive information about your children or others.
2. Information we collect automatically
We log basic technical data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring site — to keep CoFramily secure and to understand which features families use most. We use this data in aggregate, not to identify individual members.
3. How we use your information
- To show your listings, messages, and RSVPs to other community members
- To send you notifications you opt into (event reminders, message replies)
- To keep the community safe and prevent abuse
- To improve CoFramily based on aggregate usage patterns
4. What we never do
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing. We never share your children's information. Period.
5. Cookies
CoFramily uses a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We don't use advertising trackers or third-party analytics that follow you around the web.
6. Your choices
- Edit or delete your listings and posts at any time
- Unsubscribe from emails with one click
- Request a full export or deletion of your data by emailing us
7. Keeping data safe
We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, and limit staff access to the minimum needed to operate the community. No system is 100% secure, so please use a strong password and don't share your account.
8. Children's privacy
CoFramily is built for parents, not children. Accounts are for adults (18+) only. Don't use your child's name, photo, school, or other identifying details in public listings or posts.
9. Changes to this policy
When we update this policy, we'll post the new version here and note the date at the top. For material changes, we'll email active members first.
